Feast Fri., 11 AM-1 PM, $25, 235-9600. 6 – National Trails Day Bike the Neck, Georgetown County Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services, Murrells Inlet 20/20, Friends of Huntington Beach State Park, and student members of SOS (Service Over Self) will join forces for a day of trail maintenance and inspection to ensure the safety and upkeep of the 12 miles of completed trails from the Horry/Georgetown county line in Murrells Inlet to the South Causeway in Pawleys Island. Teams will be assembled and assigned stretches of the path to clear of trash and check for asphalt conditions, root damage, large fallen tree debris, etc. The county will conduct a thorough sweeping to remove gravel and pine needles from the trail. This juried show includes the work of 42 prominent sculptors from across the country, including 15 prize-winning works and will be on display in the Noble and Jennewein Galleries. During the course of the exhibit, visitors will be able to vote for their favorite sculptures to win Brookgreen Gardens’ People’s Choice Award. Announcement of the winner is made during a celebration on August 22.
